NorthCentral Customs is located in Green Bay, WI and is owned and operated by Paul Dombrowicki. Paul has been building custom autos for over 5 years, but has been watching his dad do this for years. He will only build to a quality that he would be willing to drive, he puts alot of time into his work to ensure he has happy and satisfied customers. His latest project is the Excursion Conversion, he has taken an older Ford Excursion and transformed it into a 2008 Ford Excursion. He can't wait to finish up this project and start on the next Excursion Conversion making this one a 2011 Excursion.
In 2005, we had our 3rd child and had already made the decision that we were going to have at least one more before we were done. At that time we bought our 2005 Ford Excursion, which gave us the ability to not only carry our large family but pull our camper. We sold our 2005 Ford Excursion in 2010, but new that the next project on Paul's list was going to be building us a new Ford Excursion with the front end of the 2008 or newer.
One of the first projects Paul took on was building a Dodge Neon that a friend of ours son smashed in the front and created a Dodge Neon SRT4. He replaced the engine to make it a 2.4 turbo standard, changed the interior, and replaced all the exterior accessories, to make it a Dodge Neon SRT4. This now has a clean title of the SXT but looks and sounds just like the SRT4.
The next real project he took on was building him a truck to run his construction business with. He built a Ford F350 so he was able to pull his trailers and carry all the tools he needed without ruining the 2005 Ford Excursion we had. Since then we have sold our 2005 Ford Excursion because he was really interested in creating a 2008 Ford Excursion. He has come to the realization that home building is really slow right now and since he has a passion for working on cars and trucks, he wants to put his passion to work building affordable trucks that meet the needs of families and fit their budgets.
Since Ford quit producing the Excursion in 2005 and it is still in high demand because of its highly sought after availability of the optional diesel engine, its towing ability and its seating capacity with still a lot of extra space behind the third row seat. We have decided to keep the trend going and modernize the Excursion just like Ford did with the 2008 and newer Super Duty. This Excursion Conversion consists of the new style front clip, reworked frame, updated power train, suspension, and new style dash and interior.
We have also been watching for the right opportunity to build a Suburban with a Diesel. We have to find the right trucks to work with to make it affordable for the right person. Many people really like the Duramax Diesel engine and right now the Suburban is not available with this motor. Creating a Duramax Diesel Suburban would give you not only the ability to pull, but the advantage of the gas mileage when you are driving it for pleasure as well.
